Accepting Applications for Police Officer

The St. John Police Department has been approved to hire one (1) police officer through the Department's Emergency Hire Process to fill a current vacancy. The St. John Police Department will be accepting applications from Indiana certified graduates from an Indiana state-accredited police academy for an immediate opening as Probationary Police Officer.

Applicants who qualify can pick up an application from the St. John Police Department between February 9-22, 2017. Applications will be available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 9 AM to 1 PM. There is a fee of $30.00 (cash only) for the application. Payment for the application packet must be made at the St. John Clerk-Treasurer's Office, located at 10955 W. 93rd Avenue, St. John, IN 46373. Once payment has been made, the application packet can be picked up at the St. John Police Department, located at 11033 W. 93rd Avenue, St. John, IN 46373 (bring receipt for proof of payment).

Completed applications are to be returned to the St. John Police Department by no later than 4 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in order to be considered for the position, and must be accompanied by a copy of their Indiana State Certification.
