The old chapel and Hack Cemetary

St. John was established in 1837 and was primarily a German-Catholic town. On the grounds of St. John the Evangelist Church, the original chapel stands as one of the oldest structures in St. John. The chapel first stood on the grounds of Hack Cemetery and was depicted on maps dated as far back as 1876.
